Webinars — registration terms

This appendix to the General Terms and Conditions applies when you register for a webinar that we organise. You do not need to be a customer; by registering, you accept these terms.

1. What a webinar with us is

An online session in which we demonstrate or explain something. Participation is free. No account is required: you register with your name and email address, and you receive a personal participation link by email.

2. Your participation link is personal

The link in your confirmation email is linked to your registration. If you share it, we are able to see that. If someone else would like to join, please have that person register themselves — that costs just as much: nothing.

Before the start, the link shows a waiting page with the date. Afterwards, the same link may lead to the recording, so your email remains useful.

3. Recording

Webinars are recorded — this is also stated in the appendix Privacy — Webinars and Video Calls. As a participant, you are not shown or heard unless you turn on your microphone or camera yourself. What you write in the chat may be visible in the recording.

The recording belongs to us. You may view it via the link you receive; copying, distributing, or republishing it is not allowed without our permission.

4. Places and waiting list

Some webinars have a maximum number of places. First come, first served; if there is a waiting list, your confirmation will state this honestly. If a place becomes available, we will notify the first person on the waiting list by email.

If you are unable to attend, please unregister via the link in your email — someone else can then take your place.

5. If we make changes or cancel

A webinar may be rescheduled or cancelled. We will notify all registrants by email. Since participation is free, a change or cancellation does not entitle you to any compensation.

6. Conduct during the session

The chat and the Q&A round are there for everyone. Anyone who disrupts the session — spam, insults, repeatedly talking over the explanation — may be removed from the session without warning and excluded from future webinars.

7. Your data

What we record at your registration, for what purpose, and for how long: this is stated in full in the appendix Privacy — Webinars and Video Calls. In short: your data is used for the webinar itself, the newsletter is a separate, unchecked-by-default option, and 12 months after the webinar, your registration is automatically deleted.
